Susana Garza (2nd from left) is undertaking a research internship at Keele for three months from May to July. She is enrolled on a Master of Engineering course from Instituto Tecnológico de Nuevo León located at Monterrey, Nuevo León, México (http://www.itnl.edu.mx/). She is contributing to a project at Keele with the title "Chemical study of insect-plant interactions: a contribution to biorational control of crop pests". Two post-doctoral research fellows have also been visiting for a week from the International Centre of Inset Physiology and Ecology (icipe) (http://www.icipe.org/) in Nairobi, Kenya. They are employed there on a Keele project with the title "Improving food safety by reducing pesticide residues: developing a pheromone alternative to insecticides for control of thrips on legumes in Kenya". Dr David Mfuti Kupesa (3rd from left) is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Dr Adeyemi Akinyemi (4th from left) is from Nigeria.
