About our seminars
Each year, the School of Computing and Mathematics hosts seminars from a variety of researchers working on topics aligned with our research interests. These speakers are often leading experts invited by school staff: in Computing we have enjoyed subjects as diverse as Social Learning, Reservoir Computing, Perceptual Learning and Software Engineering and Design. Maths seminars have spanned non-linear electromechanics, stability and waves in solids and fluids and plant root growth. We also invite doctoral students from the school and elsewhere to give talks as their research develops.
Most seminars take place in the Colin Reeves / MacKay complex (grid reference E5 on the campus map).
