Keele Innovation District: Powering Innovation, Place, and Growth
Keele Innovation District will build on the existing foundations already in place: a world-class university and an established Science and Innovation Park.
It will take these strengths and scale them into a connected ecosystem where education, research, and innovation actively fuel one another to generate growth.
The District will accelerate ideas into real-world impact, attracting talent, investment, and forward-thinking partners.
It will create a vibrant, lived-in urban community, bringing together places to work, learn, and live, alongside dynamic “collision spaces” where businesses, researchers, students, and local services interact.

The emerging masterplan
The Keele Innovation District will transform the existing Science and Innovation Park into a nationally significant hub for research and enterprise. Below is the emerging masterplan, which will be developed further with technical studies over the summer of 2026.
Integrated new housing surrounding the University and existing Science and Innovation Park will support a balanced community. A denser, mixed-use environment will create a vibrant place to work and live, structured around a strong east–west boulevard. Development will range from innovation hubs in the north to larger production-focused plots in the south.
