Institute for Global Health and Wellbeing

Working to improve the health and wellbeing of marginalised and disadvantaged people across the world.

By conducting world-leading research in a number of key health areas, the Institute aims to reduce global disparities in aspects such as: mental health; infectious diseases; primary care; maternal, childhood and adolescent health; non-communicable diseases; and climate change-related health.

The Institute is currently working on projects around the globe, in countries including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Ethiopia, Malawi, India, Nepal, Kenya, Malaysia and Nigeria with its interdisciplinary research supported and funded by GCRF, AHRC, MRC and NIHR.
