The scale of ambition
Keele Innovation District represents a step change in ambition for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent - evolving from a successful university science park into an internationally significant innovation ecosystem.
Building on the strengths of Keele University, the existing Science and Innovation Park, and the region’s expertise in life sciences, advanced materials, digital technologies, energy systems and advanced manufacturing, the district is being designed as a long-term programme of growth.
The ambition is to create a place where research, business, learning and living are fully integrated, accelerating innovation, attracting investment and supporting the commercialisation of new ideas at scale.
Over the next 10–20 years, Keele Innovation District intends to deliver more than 1 million sq ft of innovation and employment space, support thousands of high-value jobs and create a vibrant mixed-use environment connected to surrounding communities and growth areas.
