Bioengineering and Health Technologies
Bioengineering and Health Technologies brings together expertise in life sciences, medicine, engineering, materials science and physics to develop innovative solutions for healthcare challenges. Our research spans regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, stem cell technologies, biomaterials, nanotechnology and advanced disease models, alongside the development of novel diagnostic and monitoring approaches. Our researchers are applying technologies such as biosensors, biomagnetic and synchrotron imaging approaches, organoid systems, and cell-based therapies to improve understanding and treatment of conditions including musculoskeletal disorders, cancer and neurological disease. By combining fundamental discovery science with clinical and industrial partnerships, the theme aims to translate technological innovation into practical healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
