Support for Keele University Academic Staff

The Health Library can help academic staff to deliver teaching and support for their students; as well as support their research work.

Courses and workshops

The library training team can offer bespoke training sessions for student classes, to allow you to embed information literacy development within your course. Please get in touch with staff in the training team for more information.

eTutorials

The Health Library etutorials aim to help students to get to grips with all our resources and develop their information skills, so learning to find good quality information efficiently. The etutorials are short, bite-sized online tutorials; they include presentations, photo-tours, step-by-step video demonstrations, audio and interactive quizzes.

Adding an etutorial to the KLE

Academic staff might want to consider where students might need more support in their studies to help them to find the right information they need. eTutorials can be added to relevant sections of the KLE by adding the weblink or URL of either the individual etutorial or etutorial section.

Feedback about our etutorials is very important to us. Every etutorial has a link on the last page to allow you and your students to provide feedback. We would encourage you and your students to take part. Feedback provides us with valuable information to lead further development of the etutorials.

If you would like to make any specific comments or suggest any further content to add to our etutorial packages then please get in touch with the eResources Librarian.

Staff can book on courses delivered via our scheduled training programme. If you prefer you can also arrange a 1-to-1 training session with a member of the training team.

The Health Library can perform literature searches on behalf of academic staff. Please use our Literature Search online forms to make your request.

Academic members of staff can request stock, such as books, journals etc to be added to the Health Library collection.

Please also remember to sumit your course reading lists.
