Woodland Nature Trail
Stop B
On the left of the path is a Grey Poplar Populus canescens. Its roundish leaves with white, felty undersides rustle and flash in the wind. It also has a very sculptured bark. It suckers profusely!
To its right, on the opposite side of the path, is a small stand of Western Hemlocks Tsuga heterophylla and two Medlars Mespilus germanica.
Turn to your left and you get one of the iconic views of Keele Hall - seen here at sunrise.
