Service Spotlight: Special Collections and Archives
Did you know that our Special Collections and Archives live in the same building as your Campus Library?
Our Special Collections and Archives are located on the top floor of the Campus Library building and our holdings span over 1400 metres of manuscript, printed and pictorial material!
We collect preserve and provide access to a unique, eclectic and inspiring range of collections and archives, dating from the 12th century to the present day, with materials relating to the history of North Staffordshire being a particular strength. Other prominent themes are intellectual and political thought and the development of Sociology in early 20th century Britain.
Collections include the Arnold Bennett Papers, the Foundations of British Sociology Archive, the J.C. Wedgwood Papers, the Karl Mannheim Papers, the Lindsay Papers, the Paget Papers, the Sneyd Family Papers, the T.E. Hulme Archive, the Tamworth Court Rolls, and the William Jack Collection.
