The Library is here to help support you through the exam period, as we understand it can be a stressful time. Here are a few things that we have in place to assist you during your study and revision.
24 hour opening
We appreciate that all students are different, and some prefer to work outside the core hours. This is why the Library will remain on 24/7 opening throughout the exam period, until the end of term.
The Information Desk
If you need any assistance, just ask the staff at the Information Desk. During exam period it is staffed:
Monday - Friday 8.45am - 10.00pm
Saturday 9.30am - 10.00pm
Sunday 10.00am - 10.00pm
Outside of these hours, security staff are on hand and may be able to deal with some Library queries. Otherwise, email firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our colleagues will be able to answer your query the next working day.
The Liaison Librarian team are available on weekdays to help support you in finding resources for your subject area. More details, including their contact details can be found on your subject resource page or on the contact us page.
Dont forget, you can also access all of your favourite online Library resources from home - just visit the A to Z of online resources or Library Search to access your resource.
As well as the single and group study rooms available to book in the Library, we are also able to book rooms in Chancellors for you to study. Ask at the Information Desk.
It’s extremely important to keep energy levels up when you are studying. The Refreshments Area houses machines with a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is also plenty of seating – please follow the rules of the building and keep hot food contained to the Refreshments Area. Also, look out for free fruit giveaways in the Library over the exam period!
The Library is heavily involved in supporting the “Exam Plus” programme of events, including yoga, boxing and massage. More details of the programme can be found here on the Exam Plus page.
