FYO-00215 - Foundations of Mathematical Methods - CH Physics
Foundations of Mathematical Methods - CH Physics (15 credits)
This module will develop your understanding of the fundamental mathematical techniques and methods used across a wide range of applied mathematics, as well as in other areas of pure mathematics.
You will achieve this by developing a knowledge of the mathematical techniques. You will assess your understanding and skill in use of these techniques by applying them to set physics based problems.
Successful completion of the module will mean that you acquire the skills to apply mathematical techniques to help solve physics problems. These skills will also be developed in a group context; working with fellow students will give you the opportunity to develop collaborative skills desirable to research and many fields of employment. This module equips you with some of the necessary mathematical skills to support your on-going study in Combined Honours Physics.
