Biography

I Joined Keele University in August 2015. Before this, I worked for eighteen years in secondary education spending ten years teaching abroad. For three years prior to Keele my wife and I had a wonderful experience living in Kathmandu, Nepal, whilst teaching at The British School Kathmandu.

I am a strong advocate of lifelong learning and I am constantly seeking new challenges that will enhance and compliment my skills within education and the wider world. I am currently working towards gaining a Professional Doctorate in Education, focusing on the experiences of Foundation Year students as they transition through higher education. I have found the Foundation Year to be a unique experience for students entering higher education and believe it gives them tremendous academic strength as they progress onto their chosen degrees.
