Writing about Representation in Media and Film (30 credits)
In this module, you will examine the politics of representation. To represent something is to describe, depict, portray, symbolise or imagine it. Ideas, values, beliefs and practices are represented to us and circulated via various forms of mediation e.g. through written, visual, and auditory forms.
Using film as a medium of discussion, you will investigate representations of identity, and the impacts these representations can have on our sense of self.
