GCSE in English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above or equivalent qualifications (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2 / Key Skills Level 2).

GCSEs can be pending when the application is submitted.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma / Pearson BTEC Diploma (QCF) DM Any subject  As above
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate / Pearson BTEC Subsidiary Diploma (QCF) Accepted only with other qualifications Any subject As above
Other qualifications
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma / Technical Extended Diploma Grade C   As above
International Baccalaureate Pass plus one science subject (higher or standard level)   GCSE Maths and English Language grade 4 (C)
Access to HE Diploma At least 45 Credits at Level 3 (80 UCAS points)   GCSE Maths and English Language/Literature grade 4 (C) or equivalent qualifications (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2 / Key Skills Level 2), or 12 credits at Level 2 or 3 in english and 12 credits at Level 2 or 3 in Maths
Vocational qualifications: NVQ or equivalent qualifications are not accepted
