Welcome to your Library: Library apps and Mobile access
A warm welcome to our new and returning students to the 2026/2027 academic year!
Whether you're on campus, at home, or travelling between lectures, your library is available wherever you are. Many of our resources and services can be accessed from your phone or tablet, helping you find information whenever you need it.
Most of the ebooks can be read offline on mobile devices as well as on tablets, laptops, and desktops, including functionality to download chapters where permitted, highlight and make notes on some platforms, and continue your reading across multiple devices. Offline use of ebooks may require the installation of an app depending on the platform, such as EBSCOhost, ProQuest Ebook Central and VLeBooks, but you can find help and guidance on how to install these apps on our help pages.
Also, current Keele University students have access to a wide range of online resources that can be accessed whilst you're off campus. It is best, wherever possible, to access a resource from Library Search, your Reading Lists, or our A-Z of online resources, as many of these links will automatically log you in or only ask you to sign in once. To find out more about accessing articles, e-journals, and ebooks whilst off campus or how to access online resources when you have both a Keele University account and another institution/NHS account, check out our help pages.
Don't forget that Library Search and our Library website are both mobile-friendly, so access doesn't have to stop when you're on the go.
If you're having trouble accessing online resources, logging in, or reading e-books on your device, contact the Library team by starting a live chat, using the library self-service portal, or by email. We're happy to help you get connected and make the most of our digital resources.
