Special Collections Spotlight: Student Publications
Want to know how Keele has changed over the years? Then student publications from our Special Collections and Archives is your answer!
Concourse was first established in 1964 and is Keele’s longest running student publication. It has a long history of promoting student journalism and retains full editorial independence over its content!
Other past student publications include Cygnet, an unofficial ‘alternative’ student newspaper which began in 1956 and ceased publication in the 1980s. The bird theme continued with the arrival of Fuzzy Duck, the official magazine of the Students’ Union from 1991 until 2001.
There have been other student publications throughout the years, including Scythe, UNIT, Cum Grano, Students’ Union handbook and Students’ Union yearbook.
