Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist Apprenticeship

Launching in September 2022, the Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist Apprenticeship at Keele University is designed to professionally develop individuals by exploring the underlying principles of AI and data science. The programme also focuses on the application of technical leadership and change management skills.

Duration: 2 years.

Qualification: MSc Digital and Technology Solutions (Data Analytics).

Application: We typically require applications 6 weeks before programme starts.

The apprenticeship is a collaboration between the School of Computer Science and Mathematics and Keele Business School, aimed at individuals who work in organisations that create and analyse data. The programme provides the skills and knowledge to investigate business data requirements and the application of data techniques.

The apprenticeship explores.

  • Programming and system design.
  • Data analytics.
  • Statistics and databases.
  • Visualisation and machine learning.

This technical content is then complimented by the necessary strategic business and managerial components, that prepare and equip learners to take on more senior roles in their organisation.

The apprenticeship explores the effective organisation of data and processing investigations using machine learning and visualisation, to identify and present compelling new business opportunities. Participants will also develop the skills to create and maintain digital technology strategies, steering leadership and implementing change management tools, based on the knowledge gained on the programme.

Examples of indicative modules include.

  • System design and programming.
  • Data analytics and databases.
  • Visualisation for data analytics.
  • Applications of AI, machine learning and data science.
  • Leading in a complex world.
  • Digital transformation and the digital organisation.

To complete an apprenticeship, you must be employed in an organisation with your employer's support. We typically require apprentice applications 6 weeks before programme starts and by undertaking an apprenticeship, you commit to completing the End Point Assessment (EPA).

The Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist Apprenticeship typically requires.

  • Degree at 2:2 or other relevant qualifications. However, where applicants can demonstrate substantial experience formal qualifications may be waived.
