Keele Business School among select group awarded PRME champion status
Keele Business School has been recognised for its work to embed sustainability in its teaching and aligning with the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).
KBS is one of just 35 business schools worldwide to receive a Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) champion status for 2026/27, repeating its success from 2024/25 and cementing its reputation as a leader in sustainable business education.
The PRME network is a UN-affiliated group of management and business schools who have demonstrated commitment to integrating responsible management principles into their institutions, working together to advance sustainable development and shape the future of business leadership with sustainability at its heart.
KBS has been commended by PRME for its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, enterprise, and sustainability, and aligning its mission with the UN’s SDGs.
They also cited things like the School’s four research clusters, and its School Sustainability Strategy as being key factors in its renewed champion status.
Dr Scott Bambrick, Director of Keele Business School, said: “I am immensely proud that Keele Business School has once again been recognised as a PRME Champion for 2026/27, reaffirming our position as a global leader in responsible and sustainable management education. To be one of only a few business schools worldwide to receive this recognition and to repeat our success from 2024/25, is a powerful endorsement of the values, commitment, and collective efforts of our school.
“This reflects our long-standing dedication to embedding sustainability across our teaching, research, and enterprise activity, and to aligning our mission and impact with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. As part of the UN‑affiliated PRME network, we are proud to work alongside like‑minded institutions globally to shape the future of business leadership with responsibility and sustainability at its core.”
