Keele expanding legal advice clinic offering with new partnership
Keele’s pioneering approach to offering free legal advice to help those in need, while also training the next generation of legal professionals, has taken another step forward with the launch of a new clinic in partnership with a respected legal firm.
The University has a long history of providing pro bono legal support to the community, through its established Legal Advice Clinics and CLOCK programme.
Now the provision is expanding thanks to a new partnership with Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors, which will see the launch of a new legal advice clinic focused on personal injury law.
The initiative will provide members of the local community with access to free legal advice in personal injury matters, while also creating valuable hands‑on learning opportunities for Keele law students.
The students working in this clinic will be trained and supervised by Daniel Denton, a Personal Injury Partner at Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors. Keele students will have the opportunity to observe real cases in action and provide supervised advice, enhancing their understanding of personal injury and strengthening their practical skills.
Through the clinic, members of the public who may otherwise be unable to access legal advice, can book an appointment that will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams. Members of the public can contact the clinic to arrange a 30-minute meeting, after which they will receive a letter of advice.
