Library Resource Spotlight: New Open Access ebooks
Do you want to access some free-to-read Open Access ebooks that have no cost, no access limits and are a great way to support open scholarship? If so, let us introduce this month’s new Open Access ebooks that are now available in Library Search!
These Open Access ebooks cover a range of topics and subjects and bring together the latest research and knowledge in their areas.
Some of the titles that you can freely read include:
'Academic Language for Mathematics' by Costas Loizou, Deak Kirkham, and Shuwie Chen, which helps any student studying mathematics as part of their degree to understand mathematical terminology and communicate mathematical topics clearly in English. It integrates core mathematical content with systematic work on vocabulary, structures and text types, with particular support for students in English‑medium instruction and international STEM programmes
'Open Access International Human Rights Law' by Stuart Wallace and Clare James, which provides an accessible and comprehensive introduction to the principles, institutions and substantive protections that underpin international human rights law, and
‘Implementing Strategy in a Digital World’ by John Palfreyman, which offers a practical, contemporary guide to implementing strategy in a digital world, blending cutting-edge thinking with hands-on tools for real organisational change. It shows leaders and students how to understand strategic context, make smarter choices, and design organisations capable of adapting, learning and thriving amid complexity.
