National Year of Reading: Staff Favourites - Jodie
As you may already be aware, 2026 is the National Year of Reading!
The National Year of Reading is a UK-wide campaign designed to help more people rediscover the joy of reading. As a library, it only felt right to celebrate by asking some of our lovely staff to share their favourite books or magazines and why they love them.
Jodie, who works at the Campus Library, has chosen the Ologies Podcast as her favourite. She explains:
“I love Ologies because it introduces me to fascinating areas of science in a friendly, accessible way. Each episode asks exactly the questions I would be asking myself, breaking complex topics down without ever feeling patronising. The host is an absolute delight and strikes a perfect balance between keeping things approachable and providing enough context, tangents, and side quests to satisfy genuine curiosity. It is my go-to listen on the drive to work, and I always look forward to learning something new and unexpectedly cool.”
