Do you want to access some free-to-read Open Access ebooks that have no cost, no access limits and are a great way to support open scholarship? If so, let us introduce this month’s new Open Access ebooks that are now available in Library Search!
These Open Access ebooks cover a range of topics and subjects and bring together the latest research and knowledge in their areas.
Some of the titles that you can freely read include:
‘R for data science: import, tidy, transform, visualize, and model data’ by Hadley Wickham, Mine Cetinkaya-Rundel and Garrett Grolemund, which is aimed at aspiring data scientists to learn how to do data science with R and RStudio, along with the tidyverse, a collection of R packages designed to work together to make data science fast, fluent, and fun,
‘Humanities data analysis: case studies with Python’ by Folgert Karsdorp, Mike Kestemont and Allen Riddell, which is a practical guide to data-intensive humanities research using the Python programming language,
‘The necropsy book: a guide for veterinary students, residents, clinicians, pathologists, and biological researchers’ by John M. King et al, which provides extensive practical advice on how to conduct a systematic necropsy and includes forms and lists to aid the examination, and sample necropsy reports,
‘Project management’ by Adrienne Watt, which covers the basics of project management and includes the process of initiation, planning, execution, control and close out that all projects share, and
‘An introduction to formal logic’ by Peter Smith, which presents a guide to the fundamental aims and basic elements of formal logic and introduces the reader to the languages of propositional and predicate logic.
