Introducing Policing Insight!
Policing Insight is the leading platform to keep up with the latest in progressive policing, with content consisting of news, opinion, research and analysis produced by over 1500 external expert contributors and the platform’s editorial team. The platform also includes the media monitor service, a curated daily brief and searchable database of over 105,000 links to articles, reports and research from media, academic and policing, and criminal justice organisations.
The reports section features in-depth thematic and research reports on key subjects, whilst the articles cover all aspects of policing and criminal justice. Users can undertake a quick search by using the search bar, whilst detailed searches can be undertaken by using the tags and timeframe functionalities within the media monitor service and setting the media source filter to ‘Policing Insight’. Key topic channels can also be selected via the topic navigation bar, and there’s also special articles series too.
Users can also sign up for the Daily Brief, a daily curated newsletter including the latest policing news from mainstream and specialist media, as well as the Weekly Digest, a weekly newsletter with the latest Policing Insight articles and PolicingTV videos. Furthermore, Keele’s subscription also provides access to the PolicingTV service using the same sign in credentials.
Policing Insight is also available via the library’s A-Z of online resources, and there’s a handy help page too. For access, you will need to register/login using a validated Keele University email address (either student email ending with: @students.keele.ac.uk or staff email address ending with: @keele.ac.uk). As part of the registration process new users must set a password and validate their account via the welcome email which is sent to your Keele email address. To validate your account just click the password link in the email and create a unique password for this specific account.
