New Ebook Central Reader App
Introducing the Ebook Central Reader app!
The Ebook Central Reader app is a new, dedicated mobile and desktop app designed for reading downloaded ebooks from the Ebook Central Platform. It replaces Adobe Digital Editions as the primary offline reading solution and offers a streamlined, secure, and accessible experiences for all users. The app supports both EPUB and PDF formats, allows users to manage their loans and devices, and is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
Users will be able to register their device(s), up to 6 devices, using the app after signing into the Ebook Central Platform. After signing into the platform, navigate to the Profile section from the top menu bar and find ‘EBC App Devices’ and click on ‘Manage/Get Code’. Select ‘Get Registration Code’ and enter the 7-digit code shown on the Platform into the app. A new code will have to be requested for each device registered.
The app offers 11 interface language options and supports in-book searches, bookmarking, and text resizing and zooming. Users can also refer to these handy help pages – Adobe Digital Editions notes and highlights, and Adobe Community – to preserve any annotations from Adobe Digital Editions. Plus any ebooks already on loan in Adobe Digital Editions will sync automatically with no need to re-download.
