Most students spend years studying without ever being taught how learning actually works, operating instead of a mixture of habit, guessing and ‘whatever has worked so far’—but knowing why learning works as it does allows you to go beyond what has worked before and enables you to start being deliberate about approach to learning.  
 
Join the Academic Skills team for a Skills Seminar that explores how learning works and how this is the foundation for learning anything you’d like. By attending, you'll learn about the unconscious behaviours we have when we learn new things, how we make sense of new information, and what happens to our brains when learning is successful.
