Keele Law School facilities
The Keele Law School has a wide range of excellent facilities, providing our students with a professional and supportive learning environment.
Our students have access to a specialist law library located right at the heart of the main University library. The library collection comprises books, law journals, professional resources, case reports, as well of course as a large potfolio of online resources, including all major legal databases. Students also have access to private study areas, PC labs and IT zones.
This is a high-quality multi-use learning environment designed around a moot court to enhance students’ development of a wide range of broadly applicable skills and to provide a site for further interactions between students and the legal profession, in particular our alumni. The Moot Court was officially opened in March 2013 by Keele Law Graduate, Fiona Woolf CBE.
Legal Advice Clinic room
We have two dedicated Legal Advice Clinics where students are interviewing and advising clients under the supervision of experienced solicitors.
Student social space
The School of Law has recently further upgraded its facilities with the development of a Student Social and Learning Space. This modern, comfortable room is located in the heart of the 2 floor School of Law, just along from the main undergraduate office. The area has flexible seating arrangements, refreshment facilities and is fully supported by wifi. Students use the room for groups to meet up between classes to work on tutorial preparation and discussion, for student reps (StARs) to host regular 'drop-in' slots or simply to catch up with friends over coffee.
PGT study area
Postgraduate Taught students have access to a dedicated, recently re-refurbished room on the second floor of the School. This is equipped with networked pcs, an adjustable workstation and a meeting table. It’s an ideal space for postgraduate students to work in the School between classes, either as an individual or within groups.
Students are able to continue their discussions, or simply chat between classes in the new social space created on the second floor. Furthermore, there is now wi-fi coverage available to students throughout the School.
