Laptop Loans
Members of the Health Library can borrow a laptop to continue working within the CEC or at home.
You can borrow a Keele laptop or an NHS laptop. Each type of laptop is set up specific to the organisation with differences in WIFI and networked resources. Any member can borrow either laptop, you need to have the organisational login to access it.
Laptop loans are available for 1 day or 7 days. One-day loans last until 8pm the next working day.
Check availability of our laptop loans using Library Search:
You can only borrow a laptop during staffed opening hours:
- bring your library card (Keele Card or NHS membership card) to the Health Library
- go to the Health Library counter
- ask a member of staff for your preferred type of laptop
- if you have not already done so, you will be asked to complete the laptop loan disclaimer form; you can view this document at the bottom of this page
- the laptop will be issued to your library card
Please log in to the laptop before leaving the library to ensure your login works correctly.
You can only return a laptop during staffed opening hours. Check the due date and plan ahead. To return your laptop:
- bring it back before closing on the due date
- return the laptop to a member of staff at the library counter
- always return the charger and bag with the laptop
If everything you borrowed is not returned by the due date you will be charged £5 daily, until everything is back with the library.
Overdue laptop loans are charged £5 per day, up to a maximum of £50.
Laptops are not automatically renewed. This is due to the high demand on our laptop loans. You can request a laptop you have borrowed is reissued to you. You can only do this if there is another laptop of the same loan period and organisation available within the library.
