A self-contained campus
Keele campus is a leading campus with outstanding teaching facilities. It’s where traditional meets technology and all aspects of our commercial space has been fine tuned to host your conferences and corporate events.
The Keele University campus has five, tiered lecture theatres, extensive exhibition space and can accommodate all types of meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and events. Our clients have access to our excellent teaching spaces and exclusive use of buildings to provide a learning environment and business backdrop for your conferences, meetings, exhibitions and networking.
Campus accommodation becomes available during the summer vacation periods (June to September) which allows us to offer residential conferences. This means the campus lends itself to large two- or three-day events and is suitable for hosting residential summer schools.
David Weatherhall Building
The David Weatherall Medical School is located opposite the campus main entrance. This modern, purpose-built facility features a 250-seat lecture theatre, seven meeting rooms, and a spacious foyer ideal for refreshments and buffet lunches. Specialist facilities and laboratories are also available, making it perfect for medical or pharmaceutical events.
Dorothy Hodgkin Building
The Dorothy Hodgkin building is located next to the Chancellor’s Central and has five large lecture theatres capable of holding up to 230 delegates. The entrance foyer is an ideal space for event registration and doubles up as an area for refreshment breaks and buffet lunches. Dorothy Hodgkin can also be used as an over-flow facility for events taking place at Chancellor’s Building.
Hornbeam Building
Named after the hornbeam tree outside, the centrally located Hornbeam building sits beside the Chancellor’s Building. It offers two lecture theatres and a meeting room for up to 111 delegates, ideal for conferences, plenaries, workshops, or exclusive, self-contained event space.
Walter Moberly Building
Walter Moberly offers 9 meeting rooms, accommodating 10-80 delegates. These rooms are ideal for smaller meetings, workshop space as part of a large event, or for breakout space. With a small foyer at the main entrance, this building is perfect for conference and event planners looking to brand their conference and have self-contained meeting space.
Sports Centre
Our Sports Centre features two indoor halls with over 1,000m² of flexible space, each accommodating up to 600 people. Facilities include courts for badminton, football, netball, basketball, cricket, and tennis. The gymnasium supports badminton and fencing, plus six squash courts, two with glass-back viewing and seating.
