Keele retains European HR Excellence in Research Award

We are pleased to announce that Keele University has been successful in retaining the European Commission HR Excellence in Research Award at the six year stage.
The HR Excellence in Research Award reflects Keele’s commitment to support researchers and improve the working conditions and career development opportunities for research colleagues, as well as implementing the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
The HR Excellence in Research Award is an important mechanism for implementing the principles of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and in retaining the award Keele has demonstrated its long-term commitment to the career development of researchers.
Coordinated by Keele Institute for innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE), work on the Concordat Action Plan at Keele involves ongoing collaboration across the whole University to develop and fulfil actions that support Keele’s researchers through the Concordat Principles. The award acknowledges that institutions have completed a gap analysis of their existing policies and practices against the Concordat, developed a robust action plan for implementation, and taken into account the views of researchers.
Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, Professor David Amigoni said: “We are delighted to have retained this award over the last six years; success again this year reaffirms our collective commitment to providing the very best career support. Developing and supporting our dedicated researchers is essential and this accolade demonstrates to researchers across Europe that Keele is dedicated to enabling fulfilling, sustainable research careers; and providing a good working environment.”
