Making an Independent Visit to Keele
The University is an open campus and we welcome both prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students to view the following buildings so you can see some of the facilities and services available to our students:
- Students' Union
- Sports Centre
- Chancellor's Building, which includes many of the lecture theatres and the University Art Gallery
If you would like some refreshments during your visit, you could try Chancellor's Café or Grab and Go in the Chancellor's Building or walk down to the Students' Union.
If your visit is during the week, you are welcome to visit academic Schools - but we recommend you contact them in advance to see if there is anyone available on the day of your visit. To find out who the point of contact is, please click here and click through to the relevant Faculty and School for the subject(s) that you are interested in. Please note: if you are interested in Medicine, we request that you try to plan your visit for a Wednesday afternoon. If you wish to visit on a different day, please contact the School of Medicine directly to ensure we can accommodate your visit.
If your visit is at the weekend or on a bank holiday, please note that staff will not be around on the day and you will have more limited access to the university buildings.
If you are an international student interested in visiting Keele and you are not able to attend the Open Days, Offer Holder Days or Campus Tour Afternoons, please click on the relevant button below to request/book an independent visit.
On arrival, we will provide you with an information pack including a parking permit and self-guided tour leaflet. If you are visiting at the weekend or on a bank holiday, we will leave an information pack for you with our 24-hour reception staff at the Darwin Building.
Alternatively, you can download the Campus Guide and Map
Please note that during vacation periods the institution will be hosting a range of conferences and it may not be possible to arrange to meet with academic staff.
