Two weeks to go
There's now only two weeks to go until you start your university experience at Keele. Make sure that you're up to date with everything that you need to do to prepare for starting university.
It can take a least a week from enrolment for your maintenance allowance from Student Finance to be paid into your bank account, and so you should make sure that you have enough money available to cover your living costs in the first week or so. For example, you may need money for food, travel, household goods and joining societies.
If you experience any issues with Student Finance and would like support, please get in touch with our money specialists in the Student Support team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information please visit our money and finance webpage.
If you're an international student, we recommend that you arrange around £300 GBP in cash, or on an internationally accepted ATM bank card.
Take a look back at the previous countdown pages to check that you haven't missed any steps along the way. For example, you won't be able to enrol until we have been able to check your ID.
Browse through the resources available online to help you with your transition to university. In the weeks leading up to starting university it's natural to feel a little nervous and unsure of what's to come, and so you may want to take a look at our transition webinars to find out more about what to expect. If you're worried about something in particular, get in touch with the Student Support team who will be able to discuss this with you.
Finally, make sure that you have everything prepared to start university. If you'll be moving onto campus, make sure that you've arranged your transport and have a plan of how to transport your belongings.
