Student experience and support
All students, including online and apprentice learners, can access advice, guidance, and one to one support from their Student Experience and Support team, based within their academic School or Faculty.
If you need to talk to someone, whether it’s about your studies or something happening outside of university, our Student Experience and Support team is here to help.
Each faculty has a dedicated support team, including a named member of the team dedicated to every academic school, so you'll always have access to advice from someone who understands your academic area and wider experience.
The team is part of Student Services and works closely with other specialist services, including Disability Support and Inclusion, Financial Support, Counselling and Mental Health, Residence Life and Chaplaincy. This joined-up approach ensures you can easily access the right support when you need it.
You can find out more about the team and book an online appointment with your dedicated Student Experience and Support Officer below.
Alternatively, you can visit our drop-in sessions at the Student Services Hub during university term-time at the following times:
- Monday: 10am-12pm
- Tuesday: 4:30pm-6:30pm
- Wednesday: 2pm-4pm
- Thursday: 4:30pm-6:30pm
- Friday: 10am-12pm
Please note that at drop-ins you'll be seen by the Student Experience and Support Officer on duty that day, which may not be your dedicated officer. Drop-ins are designed for quick questions or guidance; for more complex or ongoing concerns, we recommend booking an appointment instead.
If you’d prefer to get in touch another way, you can contact Student Services as usual. Emails sent to student.services@keele.ac.uk will be passed to your relevant Student Experience and Support Officer, or directed to another appropriate service (such as financial support) where needed.
If your course spans more than one academic school or faculty, you can access support through either. We’ll make sure you’re connected with the most appropriate support for your situation. If your course is an online postgraduate course (often referred to as a HEP course), you can also access support from the Student Success team (contactable at studentsuccess@online.keele.ac.uk).
