Could you help out at this weekend’s lantern parade?
More than 200 lanterns will light up the streets of Newcastle-under-Lyme in a festive parade taking place from Keele in Town on Saturday 6th December from 5pm.
B.Arts and ArtsKeele are looking for volunteer stewards to support the parade. Responsibilities will include putting lanterns on bamboo poles, handing out and lighting lanterns, walking in the parade and ensuring guest safety, and helping to pack away kit. If you’d like to help out on the day, please email arts@keele.ac.uk before Friday 5th December.
Stewards will need to arrive at Keele in Town at 3.15pm. The public will collect their lanterns from 4.30pm and the parade will start at 5pm, lasting for around 45 minutes-1 hour. Piccoloco will be staying open on the day of the lantern parade, and ArtsKeele will cover travel expenses and offer refreshments.
