Deposit for Tuition Fees – Academic Year 2017/8

Self-Funding Students:

All overseas fee paying students are required to pay a non-refundable tuition fee deposit, whether or not they require a visa to come to the UK. An advance payment of a £2,000 to the University is requested after you receive confirmation of your offer of a place.  You will not be sent a Visa Checklist (required to request a CAS statement) until this payment is received. This deposit will be used towards payment of the first instalment of tuition fees.

When making a payment by bank transfer or cheque, you must quote your student number followed by either:

TF – if the payment is for Tuition Fees only.

RF – if the payment is for Accommodation Fees only.

BF – If the payment is for both Tuition and Accommodation.

Please ensure that the amount you send will cover any bank charges. Any bank charges will be payable by you and not by the University. To do this, you will need to inform your bank that you’ll be paying all bank charges otherwise we will not receive the full deposit.

Western Union Bank-to-Bank Transfer

International students can pay their fees using the Keele University’s bank transfer platform powered by our partner Western Union Business Solutions.

This service is available to all international students where Western Union currently operates and allows you, your parents and sponsors to pay your fees in your local currency and from your home bank account without worrying about exchange rates or bank charges.

Simply enter your student ID and contact details, the amount you want to pay, your chosen currency and you will be supplied a quote for the amount in your local currency. This quotation is guaranteed for 72 hours during which time you should instruct your bank to transfer funds (online, at branch or via phone) to Western Union Business Solutions who then will forward the sterling payment to Keele University.

Refund Policy

The tuition fee deposit and other fees (Accommodation and Tuition) paid to the University are ONLY refundable if you are unable to obtain a Tier 4 student visa and an unsuccessful UKVI administrative review (appeal against the UKVI refusal decision).  Applicants requesting for a refund will be required to send a full copy of the visa refusal letter issued by the UK Home Office, in the first instance, before a refund will be considered.  Please note that deposits and fees paid for the Pre-sessional Academic English course will not be refunded, no refunds will be considered in instances of fraud.
