The Idea
My daughter is currently applying to university and has a strong interest in the Performing Arts Musical Theatre or Dance pathway. This is provided by Staffordshire University but is delivered in Swindon, with the next nearest course locations being Manchester, Leicester, and Liverpool. Given this, is this a course that the University may be consider offering in the future. There are local dance courses who I am sure would be more than interested in working with the University.
Why This Idea Should Be Considered
It is an extra degree course that can bring in extra revenue and ideal for students who want to stay in the Stoke on Trent locality
How We Would Implement This Idea
Work with local providers of A Level dance courses or BTEC Level 3 in Performing Art
What Success Would Look Like
Contact professionals with contacts in the industry such as Neil Morrissey or Nick Hancock to bring expertise and enable students to fulfil their dream of performing
