Regenerative Medicine research cluster
The Regenerative Medicine Research Cluster sits within CSTM and brings together a critical mass of researchers from across Keele University, spanning the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Its expertise is drawn from the Schools of Life Sciences, Medicine, Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy, and Engineering and Physical Sciences. Members are based across multiple sites, including Keele’s Main Campus, the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt (RJAH) Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, the Guy Hilton Research Centre and University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM).
The Cluster unites researchers, clinicians, industrial partners and patient and public contributors across the regenerative medicine pipeline: from the design of novel regenerative therapeutic approaches and biomaterials, through to in vitro model development and analyses, tissue engineering, organ-on-a-chip systems and pre-clinical models, clinical trials, regulatory requirements and NICE-approved treatments. The cluster builds on Keele’s longstanding expertise in regenerative medicine to connect specialists across engineering, biology, medicine, chemistry, clinical trial design and public and patient engagement to enable collaborative research that translates into impact across multiple disease areas.
