Overview

Keele is at the forefront of environment and sustainability research across a wide range of disciplines. Within the Faculty of Natural Sciences, this includes staff within the schools of Life Sciences and CPS. A key focus is wildlife ecology, with collaborations at both national and international field sites. Common themes include methods to measure biodiversity, especially species distributions and abundances, quantifying human impacts on biodiversity, wildlife health, and researching habitat and landscape scale interactions with target taxonomic groups. Staff focus on a variety of different taxonomical groups, including bats, birds, terrestrial small mammals, invertebrates, and plants.
