Biography

I have been teaching on the Keele MPharm since 2007, having previously taught at Aston University.  I have a background in hospital pharmacy.  As a Reader in Pharmacy Education I teach in many areas of the course, primarily in clinical therapeutics but also pharmaceutical calculations, aseptic dispensing, and microbiology.  I was appointed Interim Head of School of Pharmacy in October 2018 and became Head of the newly formed School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering in August 2019.  Prior to this I was the MPharm Course Director and Associate Dean for Education for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.  My research interests lie within the field of pharmacy education, particularly technology enhanced learning, augmented reality simulation, and interprofessional education. I was awarded Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in November 2020.
