I am a Registered Mental Health nurse with extensive experience in dealing with patients with mental health problems; my area of speciality is in acute care.
I have keen interest in the reduction of restraint and containment in inpatient mental health services.
I am in the leadership and management of Safewards group.
I have a strong background in teaching, first qualified as a primary school teacher in 1993.
I am registered with (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Nurse Teacher.
I am interested in clinical supervision of registered nurses and student nurses.
I am currently undertaking PHD studies with School of Nursing & Midwifery, Keele University. My main focus is on clinical supervision basing my research on Participatory Action Research approach.
My current role in the school is, lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and year 3 lead in pre -registration nursing.
I am a Nursing Practice journal Reviewer.
