Biography

Qualified social worker of 22 years; works in Emergency Duty Service at Staffordshire County Council. Awarded NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship (November 2025) to complete a PhD while remaining in practice. 26 years in social care including training and supporting social workers and students.

Research and scholarship

Assessment of children and young people under the Mental Health Act, with specific focus on outcomes for care-experienced children living in secured environments. Objective: expose gaps between health and social care provision and influence how care-experienced children are supported.
