Biography

Michelle Robinson is a Research Assistant for Global Health at the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences.

Michelle has worked at the Research Institute since 2010, initially working in a variety of research delivery and administrative roles until 2015 when Michelle became a Clinical Study Co-ordinator at Keele Clinical Trials Unit in 2015.

In 2018 Michelle moved into her current role of Research Assistant where she provides research support to the Global Health programme.

Research and scholarship

Michelle’s current projects are:

Global Health:

  • Supervised treatment for outpatients with Schizophrenia (STOPS+) (Medical Research Council – Global Alliance for Chronic Disease).
  • The prevalence and burden of musculoskeletal pain in agricultural workers in low and middle income countries
  • An evaluation of SPARK19: driving the global HIV youth agenda
  • General Practitioner and Nurse Practitioner awareness of Female Genital Mutilation in the West Midlands

UK:

  • A randomised controlled trial for the identification of undiagnosed atrial fibrillation patients using a machine learning risk prediction algorithm and diagnostic test
