Biography
Jo Darrant is a PhD student in the School of Medicine. She has a background in Health Service evaluation and advocacy and has worked extensively with people who have had experience of mental health problems. She has lived rurally for most of her life. Combining the two her PhD explores rurality and help-seeking for common mental health problems such as distress, anxiety, low mood and depression in people over 60 years of age.
