Biography
I gained a BSc in occupational therapy from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 1991. Between 1991 and 2002 I worked as a clinical occupational therapist in a variety of hospitals, developing a special interest in rheumatological conditions. During this time, I studied for an MSc in research for health care professionals, which was awarded from Loughborough University in 1997. I joined Primary Care Sciences at Keele University as a researcher in 2002. I studied for a PhD, which was awarded in 2008. In 2010, I was awarded a United Kingdom Occupational Therapy Research Foundation Early Researcher Award.
