Cole Pickard

Biography

Cole has recently joined Keele University on a part-time basis as a Lecturer in Paramedic Science. He primarily works with students across the theoretical and practical application of clinical skills, as well as supporting teaching within the simulation environment.

Cole has a particular interest in the resuscitation of critically unwell patients, both within and outside the hospital environment. He is passionate about supporting students through high-fidelity simulation and developing their clinical decision-making, technical skills and confidence. Cole currently works as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK.

Cole is a registered Paramedic and holds a First-Class Honours degree in Paramedic Science. He has several years of experience working in clinical practice and continues to maintain his clinical role alongside his academic position. Cole currently works as an operational Paramedic with West Midlands Ambulance Service, allowing him to bring clinical experience and real-world practice into his teaching at Keele University.
