Biography
Melania is a PhD student at the University of Perugia and a visiting PhD student at Keele University. Her research involves looking for new tissue-specific promoters and target genes to modify the swarming behaviour of malaria-transmitting mosquitoes. When not in the lab or insectary she can be found at various gigs, reading books or eating a good Italian pizza with the people she loves.
