Biography
Lara is a Senior Research Technician in the Galizi lab. She first joined the lab as an undergraduate student, focussing on genetic regulatory elements in the mosquito germline. Alongside her studies, she also worked in the Torode Lab working on plant-mosquito interactions as a Research Technician. After earning her degree in Biochemistry with Human Biology, she returned to the Galizi group, where she now works on engineering genetic control strategies for the malaria mosquito complex. When Lara isn't in the insectary, she's often out enjoying nature on a walk or nurturing her houseplants.
