Biography

Helen Taylor-Boyd is a behavioural and landscape ecologist with a particular focus on responses of wildlife to anthropogenic impact and practical applications in conservation. She also spends time working in industry as an ecological consultant.

Research and scholarship

Helen has an interest in anthropogenic landscapes and her PhD research focussed on how bats utilise agricultural landscapes in an Afrotopical context. She is particularly passionate about the ecological roles of bats and their conservation.

Teaching

Helen teaches on a variety of BSc and MSc modules focussing on Ecology & Conservation topics as well as research skills subjects.

Supervision

She supervises a range of undergraduate and masters student projects investigating ecology & animal behaviour.
