The collection offers abstracts, indexing and full-text coverage of journal articles, country reports, dissertations, think-tank reports, working papers, and government documents, in addition to full-text coverage from many of the leading political science and international relations journals.
Users can browse the collection utilising the basic search functionality or the advanced search functionality. The basic search allows users to search by keywords, whilst the advanced search allows users to filter their search results by language, document type, and source type as well as limiting publication date. Users can also browse by publication title, as well as opt to include full-text and/or peer-reviewed results in their searches. The collection covers a range of subject areas including comparative politics, international relations, political economy, and public policy.
Women’s History Month (1st March - 31st March) has been celebrated annually since 1987 as a way of honouring and celebrating the achievements and contributions of women throughout history, whilst also putting a spotlight on gender inequality. The aim of the Month is to address long-standing omission of women’s contributions from traditional historical narratives, and the Month also coincides with International Women’s Day (8th March), which is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women that has been celebrated since 1911.
To celebrate both Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, go to the Politics Collection and see what you can discover, including topics such as gender equality, social justice, civic participation, and political representation!
For access, please login with your Keele username and password. Politics Collection is also available on the Library’s A-Z of online resources.
