Research Methods: Quantitative and Qualitative Data
Sometimes, you’ll need to collect your own data for your work. Sometimes, you’ll need to use data collected by others for your work. A good understanding of the foundations of research methods can enable us to see the value, the appropriateness, and even the flaws of each way of collecting data.
Join the Academic Skills Team for a session on Research Methods. By attending, you’ll find out what kinds of data are best for what kinds of work, how you combine these to produce mixed methods research, and why it’s worth thinking about how others collect their data.
