Biography

Dr. Geetika Jain is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Digital Transformation at Keele Business School, Keele University, UK. She is a passionate and interdisciplinary researcher with over 15 years of experience in digital innovation, technological adoption, and digital economy. Her scholarly work spans a wide spectrum of emerging digital technologies, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain governance and applications, digital economy, business analytics, and the diffusion of innovation. Her research is particularly attuned to the intersections of economy, technology, and sustainability, with an emphasis on digital transformation innovation.

Prior to joining Keele, Dr. Jain served as a Senior Researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Blockchain Center within the IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her earlier professional journey also includes corporate experience as a Strategic Consultant at GE, US and as a Research Executive at IMRS Advisory. These roles have equipped her with a unique ability to bridge the gap between academic research and practical industry applications.

Dr. Jain has an impressive publication record in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals such as Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Information Systems Frontiers, and Journal of Enterprise Information Management. Many of her articles have been published in ABS-3*/ 2* -ranked journals. She has also contributed significantly as an editorial reviewer for leading academic conferences and journals, including roles as a Track Reviewer for the Academy of Management (CTO & TIM), ICIS, AMCIS, and HICSS.

Her research contributions have been recognised through numerous international awards, including the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper and Outstanding Reviewer (2019), the Outstanding Researcher Award from the International Institute of Organised Research (Australia, 2019), and multiple accolades from Elsevier for top downloaded papers on UNSDGs and innovation themes (2021–2023).

She has successfully led and collaborated on various funded projects as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I), demonstrating a consistent impact on both academic and industry-aligned research initiatives. Her current work continues to explore how digital innovation can be responsibly governed and scaled to deliver sustainable and socially relevant outcomes.
